New for the IMBA – Professional Development for the International Manager

Recruiters tell us that, in addition to a solid grounding in major business functions, candidates looking to launch international careers will stand head and shoulders above the rest if they:

· are keenly aware of their strengths and preferences;
· possess both self and social awareness;
· can market themselves and their personal brands effectively;
· have the ‘polished professional’ demeanour companies are seeking

To address this need, the International MBA (IMBA) Program at Schulich is launching the new “Professional Development for International Managers” course in September, in which students will acquire skills and knowledge that will facilitate their professional development, including securing the Work Term (a required component of the program) , and conducting full time job search in the business arena upon graduation. Under the guidance of a dedicated team, students will engage in self-assessment, develop an awareness of the changing professional environment and learn how to interact with other professionals in different cultural and organizational settings.

If you speak two or more languages, want to make a difference in your life, your organization, your community or the world, and want to build a career than can take you anywhere, then consider the IMBA at Schulich. You’ll learn how to build your world network with the culturally diverse cohort of the IMBA class, and join a global network of alumni. Taught by leading international business Faculty and Leaders, the fulltime 20-month IMBA Program is the best choice for a career in international business. IMBA graduates have gone on to launch successful careers in international business in Canada and abroad and currently work in such diverse organizations as: Coca-Cola (Switzerland), RBC (Hong Kong), Citi (Hong Kong), CBRE (UK), BASF (Germany), Telus (Canada), CIBC (Canada), and Mastercard (USA), to name but a few.
