Getting Involved @Schulich

Throughout your time at Schulich, there will be a number of ways to get involved in the school environment. With 26 different clubs and organizations, you are sure to find a group that is a great fit for your professionsal goals and personal development.

In our new series, club executives have compiled some information that they wanted to share with you about their organizations. First up, the Investment Banking Club (the logo might have given that away).

Schulich Investment Banking Club
Founded in 2011 the Schulich Investment Banking Club (SIBC) was created to provide assistance to current Schulich School of Business students in obtaining internships and full-time positions in Capital Markets

Membership is limited to the top 25 applicants each year. Candidates are pre-screened by industry advisors and the SIBC executives to ensure fit and relevance.

Through our club, we assist members in acquiring the skills required in the investment banking industry through training and education. The club acts as a hub between the alumni and the members, creating valuable mentorship opportunities where members are matched to mentors from industry. We also focus on building networks with investment banking professionals.

There is a strong focus on training and education. We hold group interview and one-on-one interview preparation sessions; Members have access to interview guides and recruitment tools which the club has purchased. Club Executives along with the Schulich Career Development Centre provide resume review and interview and career counselling to members, helping them identify their strengths and fit.
